Theory by Oswin van den Berg
At the start of this blog. I want to share with you all, my own THEORY about HOW to remember your DREAMS! And what I hope to accomplish with you all is that we all can remember dreams together, share eachother's experiences and come up with amazing stories! Who knows, maybe some of us can do art and make actual visual pictures in how their dreams looked like in their heads. That would be amazing!
Now here comes the theory that I have developed and which I think works for remembering them! I'll call the method: Dreamering! Or maybe something else what might fit best, it is not a comfirmed name for it. :P
1: Before you go to bed, you need to say to yourself in your head that you would like to remember the dreams you are about to get. If you don't even remember that you want to remember the dream when you wake up, you won't remember the dream because you forgot to remember it.
2: Go to bed and while you are thinking about things before you become in unconsciousness: Keep in mind that you want to remember that dream when you wake up.
3: (The hard part) When waking up, you should realise that you dreamed and immediatly, try to remember the dream you had. For me the most amount of dreams I could remember was "3". But they were small ones. (When sleeping, you go through 3 or 4 dreamstages and every time you are getting to stage 4, you are dreaming very deeply which is the most important part.)
4: When waking up, do not EVER start to think about other things you want to do when you get out of bed. Because whenever you do that, you will forget the dream.
5: Describe the dream in every detail in your head, making it into a story in what you have seen, what you were, where you were, what was happening, etc...
6(Recommended!: Write down the dream that you have managed to describe.
TIP: Repeat the practise over and over for better results. It will eventually come to dreams when it becomes EXTREMELY detailed, vivid, or whatever you say when things become real.
TIP: If you have difficulties remembering dreams, try "daydreaming" first! It is the most easy way of dreaming because it is a kind of trans, which is a lot more easier to try. Then, whenever you go to sleep, try the same method, which I explained above.
Results of the method:
I have used this method for years and I am still exploring and researching the method in ways to strengthen the method for better and faster succes. It mostly works for me. But probably because I used this method for years now and it might be that beginners may have difficulties using it. That is why I shared the method to a few other interested dreamers who wanted to experience the same thing!
1 person experienced the following:
i have sucesfully remembered my dream!!! well actualy dreams, 3 of them! but i have hit a curiosity in the way of dreams. I told myself that i would remember my dreams and it worked but heres the weird part. I would wake after each dream remembering that specific dream going to sleep waking up after the next it was quite odd but im making progress. man this is so fun. are you a trecky?? i look at dreeming like a holo deck ever being able to change with unlimited posiblilities
Another dreamer who barely remembers dreams before he used the method:
This one had a weird experience. When he woke up, he was sweating all over the place he tolld me. But he did managed to remember his dreams. The only thing he failed to do was keeping it in his head when getting out of bed. So he forgot what the dream was all about. But beside the sweating, he was very satisfied with the results because it was a long time ago when he remembered any dreams.
Now, it is your turn!
Now that I shared my theory and the results of it, how about giving it a try? If it works, it would be great! But if you have any difficulties. Don't sweat it and SPAM me with all your questions in the comment bar, because I can help you out and it can help me in the development of my mothed for better and easier succes too! Good luck and enjoy! ^_^
